MyUniHub offers a range of services for International students.
Services for International students
Biometric Residence Permits (BRP)
Information about collecting your Biometric Residence Permit can be found here.
Police Registration
Many International students and/or their dependents will be required to register with their local police on arrival in the United Kingdom. If you are required to register with the Police you will be informed either by notification letter, your entry vignette in your passport or your Biometric Residence Permit (BRP). You will need to book an appoint to see the police via MyUniHub. Please note that you will also be required to inform the police if your personal details change or if you move address.
Open a bank account
If you are an International Student and need to open a bank account you will need to choose the bank you wish to apply to and make an appointment with the bank if necessary. You will also require a letter confirming your student status and your current home and term address which can be requested from MyUniHub. You will also be required to sign a consent form allowing us to speak to the bank in regard to your personal details if so required.
You must ensure that all your personal details, including your full name and both your home address and term address are correct on your student profile before asking MyUniHub to produce a statement for you. To check or update your details log in via https://myuni.swan.ac.uk/# and select MyUni Login and then enter your user name and password. Select Personal details from the left-hand menu. You can change your personal details including home and term address. If any other of your personal details (for example your name) need to be amended you will need to bring your passport into MyUniHub.
Please note you will not be able to open a bank account until you are a fully enrolled student of Swansea University.
Confirmation of Acceptance to study
CAS current students: If you are a current student and need to apply for an extension to your visa, please contact the International Student Compliance Unit
CAS New Students: International students applying for a Tier 4 Student Visa will need a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) number. This number confirms to UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) that you have been accepted to study at a valid UK university. Once you have met a number of conditions, including accepting an unconditional offer, you will be sent a CAS statement that will confirm your CAS number.
Confirmation of Arrival/Departure Certificates
Visiting & Exchange students who have Confirmation of Arrival certificates from their home universities can take these to MyUniHub on either the Singleton (2.1 on the SC map) or Bay (9 on the BC map) Campuses for signature once they have enrolled as students at Swansea University.
IMPORTANT Please make sure your name and student number are written on the certificate.
At the end of the period of study Departure Certificates can also be taken to MyUniHub for signature.
IMPORTANT: Please note that Departure Certificates can only be signed up to 5 days before leaving Swansea University.
Learning Agreements
Visiting and Exchange students may have Learning Agreement forms from their home universities. These require the signature of the Exchange & Study Abroad Coordinator at Swansea University. The Go Global team will contact students to arrange for these to be signed once module selections have been confirmed.
