Commercial Awareness is one of the key skills that employers are looking for in candidates. However, understanding commercial awareness and how to develop it isn’t easy. Using personal experience and practical example, Ludo will discuss all you need to know about commercial awareness, how to develop it and how to apply it in interviews. Ludo is a Trainee Solicitor at BDB Pitmans and founder of legal commercial awareness platform The Legal Update. Don’t Miss It!

As of 2021, the average pay for 22-29 year old’s in the UK is £25,985 - it is very rare you meet someone in this age bracket who exceeds £50k or even £75k.

Despite having no work experience, skills or connections before graduating, Tor Abrams was able to earn over £100k per year by age 25; and in this talk, he will share his honest approach to doing it which you can repeat for yourself!

The event is open to all staff and students who attend or have graduated from any Welsh University 

This event aims to inform and inspire students and graduates, throughout Wales, who are looking to incorporate the environment and sustainability in their future careers and showcase how organisations are tackling key environmental issues and addressing climate change. Graduate employers, alumni and early career professionals working in the environmental sector will share their expertise and insights into how to navigate career opportunities within this sector and explore some of the challenges and opportunties within their industries.

Speakers will share their career journeys since graduating and showcase research and/or live projects that reflect the work they do which has delivered positive impacts for the environment. The panel will also answer questions from the Chair and audience which will offer an opportunity to debate some of the hot topics and discuss what it takes to be successful in this career path.

The event will be hosted by Andrew Schofield, Environmental Platform Wales and chaired by Huw James, who commands a worldwide audience with his science presentation, broadcasting and global adventuring skills. Find out more about Huw’s career here.

Have you ever considered a job where you can speak Welsh daily? Are you aware of the variety of jobs and sectors in Wales that you can work in Welsh every day? Come to our Careers in Welsh Forum to hear from a variety of industry professionals that use their Welsh language skills every day.

This forum will feature three speakers discussing their careers, what it’s like to work in Welsh and offering you advice on searching for and securing your job through the medium of Welsh. This will be followed up by a Q&A session so you can make sure all your questions are answered!
