Your feedback is important

The Together We Changed campaign highlights the important partnership between the University and our students. The campaign aims to show our students how valued their feedback is and what actions we have taken to improve their university experience.

Using feedback and results from student surveys, module feedback, Unitu, student representatives and many other feedback channels – we have highlighted a handful of examples below, to demonstrate just how impactful your feedback has been this year.

New student smartphone app, MySwansea

Feedback: Students requested a smartphone app to bring all the essentials for student life in one easy to access place.

Result: Launch of the new MySwansea smart phone app, which contains the essentials that students access on a daily basis, such as emails, timetables, Canvas, bus timetables and much much more.

Singleton Library Improvements

Feedback: Not enough power to desk facilities, a need for additional group study space and a request for division of space to reduce disturbances and noise from others.

Result: Increased power to desk facilities, increased group study spaces and inserted divisions of the space to reduce disturbances and noise from others.

New Catering Service

Feedback: Need for an app based click and collect service, new menus, longer opening hours and refurbished catering outlets.

Result: Introduced a brand-new catering service which operates a click and collect service with fresh new menus. We have extended the opening hours of our catering outlets and have refurbished Callaghan’s and introduced the new Swansea Social Hideaway. We’ve also brought high street flavours to campus, such as Greggs, Subway and Tortilla.

Examinations and Welcome/Re-Freshers Week

Feedback: Some examinations can run throughout the Welcome and Re-freshers period in January, meaning not all students could enjoy the period exam free.

Result: Working in partnership with the Students’ Union the majority of January assessments will now end on or before 25^th January (start date of Welcome and Re-fresher’s week). So the majority of students can now enjoy the period and what is on offer, exam free.

Launch of the Get Active Programme

Feedback: Not enough opportunities/access for students of all sporting levels to try and enjoy new sports.

Result: Launch of the Get Active programme which offers opportunities to all students, of all sporting levels to get involved in physical activity to support health and wellbeing.
