Hi

Originating from India, I moved to Swansea driven by my ambition to create a tangible impact on society through the intersection of technology and human potential. As an Asian in the field of technology, I aspire to bring a diverse perspective to my work and aim to develop technologies that empower individuals to achieve their fullest potential. Beyond my professional life, I'm an avid cyclist. Biking not only offers me a sense of tranquility and freedom, but it also serves as an avenue to explore different locations. It's a passion that has taken me to numerous places, allowing me to experience various cultures and cuisines first-hand. These experiences have not only enriched me personally but have also given me a broader perspective on how to approach my research. In essence, my personal journey, hobbies, and ambitions are interwoven. They inspire me to use my skills and knowledge to make a difference, fostering collaboration, and ultimately creating technologies that are truly human-centric.

  BEING A SUBJECT REPRESENTATIVE

I strongly believe in fostering a supportive, inclusive, and engaging community for my fellow students. Being an ardent advocate for the collective voice, I understand the importance of student representation and engagement within the university's decision-making processes. I am passionate about serving as a conduit between the student body and the university administration to ensure that the concerns, suggestions, and needs of my peers are accurately and effectively communicated. Additionally, I am committed to making a positive impact on the student experience at Swansea. I view this role as a valuable opportunity to directly influence the academic environment and overall quality of life for students. My aim is to not only address immediate concerns but also to promote long-term improvements that can benefit future cohorts. Through this role, I hope to cultivate a sense of unity among students, promote open dialogues between the student body and faculty, and ultimately contribute to enhancing the educational journey for everyone at Swansea University.

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES

As a Subject Representative for Computer Science research at Swansea University, I shoulder various responsibilities aimed at enhancing the academic and social experiences of the student body. One of my key duties is facilitating open and constructive communication between students, tutors, and lecturers. I strive to create an environment that encourages collaboration, fosters a sense of community, and ultimately promotes a healthy and conducive learning atmosphere.

MY CURRENT STUDIES...

I am currently engrossed in a fascinating field of research within the realm of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), specifically focusing on capturing expert knowledge through physiological data in industrial settings. My work is housed within the Computer Science department at Swansea University. The aspect I enjoy most about this is the collaborative element, namely co-designing technology with the users themselves. This hands-on approach allows us to build hypotheses directly with the individuals who will be using the technology, fostering a shared ownership of the outcomes and fostering meaningful insights. It also minimizes unintended consequences, as it directly takes into account the users' perspectives, making the resulting technologies more beneficial and impactful.
