Hi I'm Ben!

Being born in a seaside town, its unsurprising that I ended up at Swansea University for my undergradute degree. The mix of being able to study in Welsh, such a friendly department, and being so close to a beach made it a decision I've never looked back. The time I spent here has endedlessly inspired me and when the chance to come back to complete a PhD came up it was a perfect opportunity to come back! When I'm not on campus or working from home, I can usually be found cooking, baking, or walking. I hope that my next chapter can build further on the skills and knowledge I gain through completing my PhD here at Swansea. Although I need to get through this one first!

BEING A SUBJECT REPRESENTATIVE

I wanted to be more involved in the life of my department and it's postgraduate research life.

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES

I can be one of the ways for students to communicate with those that can make changes in our department and highlight any concerns or changes PGR students would like to see.

An interesting fact about me

 MY CURRENT STUDIES...

I love getting back into the messy but fascinating process of conducting original research on a personal topic that has an area of interest since secondary school and through the medium of Welsh.
I'm looking at Welsh Coal Tips from a diverse range of perspectives, such as waste, risk, or as biodiversity hotspots, reflecting the different ways the public view them as well.
