Where can I go for help?

The School of Social Sciences Student Support and Information Team are your first point of contact for advice, signposting and general queries. You’ll get the chance to meet the team during your induction in your First Steps Sessions and School social events.

As well as emailing them via studentsupport-socialsciences@swansea.ac.uk or calling on 01792 602121, you can drop in to see someone from the team Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm at the Digital Technium Ground Floor, Singleton Campus.

A warm welcome to new students

On behalf of all staff I am delighted to welcome you to the School of Social Sciences. We are confident that you will find the School a welcoming and enriching environment where you will thrive as you progress through your studies. Your programme has been carefully designed to challenge you but also equip you with life-long skills and knowledge that will prepare you for the opportunities that lie ahead in your later careers. You will be joining a vibrant community of social scientists and we very much hope that, whatever your subject discipline, you make lasting friendships and connections that bring home the impact that social sciences can have in and on society. I am very much looking forward to meeting you all in Welcome Week and introducing you to the wonderful academic and professional services staff who will support you during your studies.
