Academic Success is a series of Canvas courses designed to support you as you settle into university. The courses will help you to focus on your goals, gain an understanding of the core values of academic integrity and teach you vital new skills that you will need to succeed in higher education. They will also highlight all of the services that are available to if you need to get some help.
COURSE 1 : What is Higher Education for?
This course will introduce you to life and study at university and give pointers on how to make the most of your time here. You’ll also find out where to go for advice, guidance and support.
COURSE 2 : Introduction to Student Skills
Get off to the right start at University by learning the key skills you’ll need to achieve academic success. In this course, you’ll learn about different methods of learning to help achieve your potential, and the teaching styles you’ll encounter during your time here.
COURSE 3: Academic Integrity
Gain an understanding of the core values of good academic practice. This course will provide you with an overview of how to reference correctly and other aspects of good academic practice, so that you do not fall into the trap of unintentional academic misconduct.
