End of Term Checklist

Your room is yours for the full period shown in your Occupation Contract, which means you don’t need to move your belongings out over the Christmas or Easter holidays. You may leave your accommodation earlier than your contract end date, but this doesn’t affect your contractual or financial commitment for your accommodation.

Please let us know here if you plan to remain in your accommodaiton during the Christmas holiday period.

Holiday Arrangements

Cleaning

There will be no cleaning within your residences over the Christmas/Easter period. Please be mindful of this and ensure you maintain your accommodation to an acceptable standard. If you vacating your residences please make sure you have left everything clean and tidy. Please ensure you remove everything perishable from the fridge (i.e. milk, vegetables, meat etc).

Rubbish

Rubbish will not be removed, so please use external bins to dispose of your rubbish following the usual process. Please recycle where possible and put rubbish into the correct waste receptacles.

Lights, Heating and Electrical items

If you are vacating your accommodation, do ensure you switch off all lights, electrical items and room radiators before leaving. This will ensure we are not wasting energy and we are supporting sustainable initiatives.

Fire alarms and evacuation

Fire alarms will continue to be tested over the Christmas/Easter period. Please follow the usual procedure. If the alarms sounds on a non-planned test, please evacuate the building immediately and await instructions from Security.

Mail and Parcels

Any uncollected mail or parcels will remain at your Site Reception until after the Christmas/Easter period.

Changes to the Bus Service

We urge all students to keep up to date with with changes to bus and rail services during University holiday periods.

From Sunday 15^th December, bus services 89, 90, 92, N91 and N92 will not operate due to university holidays.
Bus service 91 will operate a special holiday timetable from Monday 16^th December to Friday 20^th December only.
Please refer to the First Bus website for timetables for all other services in Swansea.
The U1 Park & Ride shuttle bus will end on Friday 13^th December at 6:48pm, and resume from Monday 6^th January at 7:40am.

As sites become quieter during the Christmas/Easter breaks, we ask you to continue to be mindful of your safety and the safety of others. Please ensure you close doors, windows and access support services if needed. There is continued support available over this period via the Wellbeing Service.

Reception Opening Arrangements
