Introduction to the Student Ambassador Scheme

The Student Ambassador Scheme has a pool of around 500 Student Ambassadors in a normal Academic Year, a mixture of returning and newly recruited Student Ambassadors with representation from across all Subjects and Levels of Study. 

We strive to ‘Create a Culture of Community and Commitment’ enabling and empowering Student Ambassadors to thrive and build into the wider University and its' impact Globally. 

Student Ambassador perform a vital role in assisting stakeholders and clients of the Scheme with all aspects of their visit, as well as opportunities throughout the year to work with Faculties and Departments across the University.As well as being an asset to the University, Student Ambassadors can also gain valuable experience for themselves and their Graduate Outcomes. The Student Ambassador Scheme offers a wide variety of opportunities to get involved in that benefit your personal development and your employability skills, to prepare you for the world of work once you graduate from Swansea. 

Examples of events and opportunities for Student Ambassadors include but are not limited to Open Days, Calling Campaigns, School Visits, Supporting Departments with Administration, Operating the phone lines during Clearing. Further opportunities tend to arise from Faculties and Departments such as Webinars, Focus Groups, assisting visitors to the University and other events on and off Campus.

Meet the Student Ambassador Scheme Team

The Student Ambassador Scheme is managed by the Student Ambassador Scheme Manager and three Student Ambassador Scheme Assistants. Between them, the team have over a decade worth of Student Ambassador experience, both as Student and Senior Student Ambassadors, and bring a wealth of insight into running the Scheme on the behalf of the University.
