Coronavirus Guidance The College

If you test postive you should contact your lecturer to access class materials which would be on Canvas.

If you are having any difficulties with class access or Canvas, please contact your Lecturer or the Academic and Student Experience team via the-college@swansea.ac.uk. It is important that you engage with your studies as much as you can.

Your Lecturers will be providing you with information on any assessments that you may have upcoming deadlines for. his information will include details of their format, length and other such information. At present assessments are able to be completed and submitted online. We will update you when there are any changes to this. 

You would do this in the usual way, report it to the Academic and Student Experience team via the-college@swansea.ac.uk. We request that any students who are unable to complete an assessment fill in an extenuating circumstances form (which you can access on the Canvas Student Community page. Please make sure you state clearly what module and what assessment you want the extenuating circumstances form to cover.

If you do not have access to this area please let the team know via the-college@swansea.ac.uk.

If you have specific questions about your modules you should contact your Lecturers in the first instance. If you do not know their email address then you can find them on the Canvas Student Community page.

If your question is more general then please contact the Academic and Student Experience team via the-college@swansea.ac.uk.

At this time it is more important than ever that you keep up to date with your emails, as we will be sending you important information about your studies via email, as will your Lecturers. We know it is really difficult to keep up with the large number of emails that you get. We would suggest looking online for ways to manage an email inbox and use the one that works best for you. Please email myunihub@swansea.ac.uk and copy us in at the-college-accommodation@swansea.ac.uk if you are required to self isolate. It would be helpful if you state whether you are self-isolating because you have symptoms of Covid 19 or have been in contact with someone who has the virus.  Ensure you have enough food for your period of isolation, minimise your visits to the kitchen, and try and go at times when others are less likely to be around. Please do not cook anything in your room as this is a fire risk. Please continue to observe high standards of hygiene in the kitchen. Look after your mental wellbeing, keep in touch with friends and family by video call and social media. You may wish to let your flatmates know that you are self-isolating and why. If you become very ill whilst self isolating, you need to tell someone.
