Examinations 2021/22 – Supplementary Assessments

For the August assessment period there will be a blend of both online and in-person assessment taking place across the University which has been determined by your School.

Following the Covid-19 pandemic, student assessment broadened to include more online approaches and we aim to keep some of the new assessment methods where appropriate. However, across the University there will be some departments that for professional registration or pedagogical reasons require in-person exams.

You will receive notification of the type of assessment you will be undertaking at least 4 weeks in advance by your School and you will be notified of the dates of your assessment at least 2 weeks in advance of the assessment taking place.

In line with Welsh Government advice the University strongly recommends that you continue to wear a face covering in all indoor areas, particularly where social distancing is not possible.

If you have been assessed by the University as requiring provisions (e.g rest breaks/extra time for timed assessments), your Faculty/School or in the case of in-person examinations the University Examinations Office will ensure that suitable provisions are put in place.
