It is important to register in person your non-UK/Irish passport and right to study immigration documents or eVisa share code as soon as possible after your arrival with Student Compliance Services. When your documents have been registered you can then complete the other steps of enrolment online. Please see the video and information below for what to bring with you to your right to study appointment.

Please make sure that you bring the following documents with you or have completed these steps prior to your appointment:
1) Your passport
2) Create a UKVI account to access your eVisa – this must be done before coming to in-person right to study. Please see our webpages for more information here
3) A share code for your eVisa using the View and Prove Immigration Status service. When asked for the reason for generating the share code, please select the ‘something else’ category.
4) New students only: Your visa decision letter that was emailed to you by the Home Office when your visa was granted
5) New students only: A copy of your flight details or boarding pass if your passport was not stamped on arrival to the UK
6) If you cannot use the View and Prove Immigration status service, proof of your immigration status such as a letter from the Home Office detailing your permission.
You must check to ensure that the following details are correct and accurate on your visa:
- Your personal details
- The correct visa end date as follows:
- Courses of more than 12 months in length - the course end date plus 4 months;
- Courses between 6 and 12 months in length - the course end date plus 2 months;
- Pre-sessional courses of less than 6 months - the course end date plus 1 month;
- Courses that last less than 6 months that are not a pre-sessional course - the course end date plus 7 days
- The University’s Sponsor License number (18UEHPGX4) / Swansea University is listed as your sponsor
- Type of Permit (Student Route)
- Work Hours (Work 20hrs max in term-time) if doing RQF6 level study or above
