Engagement Monitoring

The University is responding flexibly to enable students to continue with their studies/research and ensure that they are not adversely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. All courses will be delivered in a dual way, combining both online and face-to-face teaching/support to facilitate students’ engagement with their studies.

Why is this important?

Engagement correlates with performance. This means that the more you engage with your studies, the better you will do. We believe that monitoring engagement can help us ensure your welfare and support you to progress and reach your academic goals. The data from the various modes of engagement gives us an early warning of students who may need help. If you aren’t engaging or are engaging poorly, we will be in touch with you to offer support (be that academic or welfare related).

The University’s policy on engagement monitoring for taught students can be found here: Engagement Monitoring Policy for Taught Students, and for full details on the engagement monitoring process and what this means for you, please go to the MyUni Engagement Monitoring Pages. If you have any questions about engagement monitoring or are experiencing difficulties that are preventing you from engaging with your studies, please contact the-college@swansea.ac.uk, contact your Personal Tutor or contact us via our Live Chat function which is featured above (normally available 09:00 - 17:00 BST Monday to Friday).
