Swansea University is proud to offer tailored support for asylum seekers, refugees, those with limited leave to remain and under humanitarian protection. Students benefit from dedicated advice and guidance from a named contact. We also offer a Sanctuary Scholarship covering fees and monthly costs, as well as an Academic Enrichment Payment. We run specialised staff training, student groups and events throughout the year to foster an environment of belonging and celebrate sanctuary values. These initiatives break barriers, promote inclusion and empower students seeking sanctuary to thrive academically and socially.
