PGR Hub

This is an open access room providing an informal social or study space. The PGR Lounge also has a number of books and other resources to help support your research journey you can access while using the space. 

The PGR Lounge is open to all PGRs Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm. It can also be booked for events and holds around 25. If you're planning an event the PGRO team can provide urns, mugs, tea and coffee, just email us to find out more.

The HYB PGR Lounge is great for:

• Informal events like coffee mornings
• Practicing presenting your research 
• Society and research group meetings
• Hosting group talks and networking events
• Getting together to write
• And if you're looking for a bit of escapism in you can grab a book from the book swap!

What's in the room:

• Relaxed, movable seating with coffee tables
• Water dispenser
• Flip chart stand with pens and paper
• Large touch screen with remote casting facility.

This is room is available to book for PGR specific workshops and training events.  Email the PGR training team to request the use of this space.

The Training room is great for:

• Attending PGR trainng related events and workshops
• Hosting in person and hybrid group talks and networking events

What's in the room:

• Tables and chairs that can be arranged in multiple room layout styles
• Flip chart stand with pens and paper
• Teaching lectern with touch screen.

The Study Lab is open is an open access space with 11 bookable individual workstations, just connect your laptop and you're ready to go. It's set up for individual users and collaboration, if you'd like to bookthe whole room please email us. 

The Study Lab is open Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm. 

The Study Lab is great for:

• Individual and group work sessions
• Collaborative work, up to five devices can cast directly to the interactive touch screen

What's in the room:

• Ready to connect work stations each with monitor, keyboard and mouse.
• USB-C and HDMI ports to connect your laptop 
• Interactive touch screen with remote casting for collaborative study
• Flipchart with paper and pens

This room equipped with facilities for hybrid meetings seats 10-12 and is bookable for PGR related meetings, events and viva examinations.  The Faraday 307 meeting room is bookable Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm.  Book Faraday 307 meeting room here.
