Frequently Asked Questions - Tuition Fee Increase
The Welsh Government has announced changes to tuition fees and student loans for the 2025/26 academic year. Effective from 1st August 2025 tuition fees will now be capped at £9,535 instead of the previous £9,250 figure. This increase reflects inflation and aims to ensure universities can continue delivering high-quality education and cohesive support for students.
From September 2025, tuition fees for the below listed students will be adjusted from £9,250 to the tuition fee cap (currently £9,535) annually:
- Prospective/new students (including PGCE and foundation year (non-classroom based)).
- Current undergraduate students (including suspended and repeating students).
- Current undergraduate students with a year in industry.
- Current undergraduate students with a year abroad.
