This course is suitable for postgraduate research students who are interested in gaining paid employment with the Centre for Academic Success as a Peer Writing Advisor. It focuses on the skills, techniques and processes required to successfully hold 1:1 essay writing appointments with undergraduate students.

Syllabus
Training will include the necessary knowledge base, 1-to-1 teaching methodology, and develop your pastoral skills and ability to signpost to specialist services when relevant. The course is delivered by lecturers from The Centre for Academic Success. The training supports the Swansea University PGR Training Framework theme "teaching and demonstrating".
SESSION ONE
Tuesday 24th June 2025, 10:00-15:00 (Singleton Campus)
SESSION TWO
Wednesday 25th June 2025, 10:00-15:00 (Singleton Campus)
PRACTICAL ASSESSMENT
30-minute assessment on Tuesday 1st or Wednesday 2nd July 2025.
