How will the MAB affect my visa?

The University is committed to supporting International students who may be affected by the MAB, if you are completing your programme we will seek to be able to confirm your award before your current visa expires. If you are progressing and require an extension we will support you with extending your visa.

I have a visa ending shortly and I need my marks before visa expiry to be able to apply for the Graduate Route visa - what does this mean for me?

The University is committed to supporting International students who may be affected by the MAB, if you are completing your programme we will seek to be able to confirm your award before your current visa expires. If you are progressing and require an extension we will support you with extending your visa.

I am student holding a Student Route visa and my course has ended, can I work full time and take a permanent job?

You can work full time during the wrap up time at the end of your visa as your course has officially ended. You may need to check the visa type you will need for the contract you are given if you are offered a longer term position.

I need a new end date to apply for my new CAS but my supervisor is part of the marking boycott, what can I do?

Please contact the student compliance team who will be able to assist you with this.

I've received the Award decision that I have an award predicted, am I eligible to apply for Graduate Route?

If you have received an award predicted decision, Student Compliance Services will contact you with further information about your eligibility for the Graduate Route. We may not immediately be able to report your eligibility for the Graduate Route, however we are committed to supporting International students who may be affected by the MAB. We will seek to be able to confirm your award before your current visa expires.

I've received a Provisional Award decision, am I eligible to apply for Graduate Route?

If you have received a Provisional Award decision, in most cases we will be able to confirm your eligibility for the Graduate Route to UKVI, subject to you meeting all of the requirements for the route.  You do not need to tell us that you have received this decision.  Student Compliance Services will send confirmation by email when we have reported your eligibility containing the informtion you will require to make your Graduate Route application. 

My award decision has been deferred, what does that mean for my Graduate Route eligibility?

Student Compliance Services will contact you with further information about your eligibility for the Graduate Route.  We will not immediately be able to report your eligibility for the Graduate Route, however we are committed to supporting International students who may be affected by the MAB and wish to apply for the Graduate Route.
