Welcome to the School of Management

We look forward to meeting you at Welcome Week. There will be a varied program of events during the week and we hope this will provide you with plenty of information and inspiration as you begin your programme of study. There will also be opportunities to socialise with the other students on your course and learn about the support that will be available to you as you study.

Welcome and Induction Week for the School will run from Monday 23rd to Friday 27th January. The information you'll receive is really important to your academic year ahead, please make every effort to attend

Your Welcome Week timetable is below - this is provisional until 16th January so please keep checking back for any changes. Please note that this is different to your teaching timetable which will be in place when the lectures start on Monday 30th January.

Tuesday 24th January

10.00 - 11.00 Programme Welcome Talk  - Compulsory

In this session you will find out more information about your course and how you’ll study. You’ll start to get to know your coursemates and get settled into your learning community.  

 

Room Location: Sir Stanley Clarke Auditorium, Great Hall

 

 

11.00 - 12.00 First Steps - Compulsory

Meet your Student Information Team, who will introduce the key IT platforms and systems you’ll need for your studies, outline the academic and welfare support available, and explain further ways to get involved in student life.

14.00 - 16.00  Programme Induction - Compulsory

 

Meet your programme director, who will introduce your programme of study, provide key academic information and direct you to course resources.

The Student Information Team for your School are your first point of contact for advice, signposting and general information queries. You’ll get the chance to meet the team during welcome week at the First Steps Sessions and School social events.
