Support Our Work

There are loads of ways you can get involved in our Sport Swansea work.

As an active member within a sports club, there are opportunities to gain leadership experience on the committee of each sport from Club Captain to Equipment Officer, Media Secretary and everything in between. Sitting on a committee is not only a good way to give back to and progress your sports club, but it also looks great on your CV and will help you develop invaluable transferable skills for your future!

There are also numerous opportunities to volunteer with Sport Swansea, by helping at annual events such as Ladies Day, the Welsh Varsity and Arrivals, or by becoming one of our Sport Swansea Executives.

Our Execs are valued members of the team and aid us in delivering the best possible sporting experience at Swansea. If you have an interest in photography/videography or social media, our Media Exec roles are for you, but if you prefer charity work, event delivery or general duties then there are plenty of further roles to consider. All Executive roles are recruited for annually from our Sport Swansea membership, with successful applicants gaining invaluable experience, CPD opportunities and further perks!

As you invest your time in sport, we want to invest in you. Sport Swansea supports clubs and their members to gain relevant and recognised qualifications that can be used to bolster our provision. In the past, countless students have gained qualifications in first aid, coaching, specific skills (e.g. towing, powerboat license, etc.) and leadership that have all contributed to a thriving environment of sport in Swansea.
