What is BUCS?
British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) is the national governing body of university sport in the United Kingdom.
BUCS provides extensive competition structures to gain bucs points for individual and team performances in leagues, cups and tournaments, all collating into a final university league table.
Swansea University is constantly improving its BUCS ranking and in the 2018/2019 season was the BUCS most improved institution by climbing 14 places in the BUCS table from 32nd to 18th position. Swansea were on course to finish 16th in the table in the 2019/20 season before it was prematurely cut short.
Each year we are building on our success, with more teams being promoted to the highest leagues, individuals achieving gold medals and, most importantly, competing as a united Sport Swansea, increasing our overall BUCS points total.
Swansea University has 45 different clubs that compete in BUCS Leagues and competitions, with a massive 65 teams competing every Wednesday afternoon at home or across the south west of the country.
