Returning Students: Induction Sessions

Welcome back! We are excited to welcome our returning students to Swansea for the 22-23 Academic Year. The faculty will be holding induction lectures and social events for each level and programme of study in Swansea in the week before teaching (26 – 30 September).

Inductions will give you a chance to hear from your Year Head what to expect at the next level of study, and will also include important updates on teaching delivery, timetables, programme/module resources, changes to the university facilities and services, and opportunities to get involved and enhance your experience in the next year.

Each induction session will be followed by a social event for all academics and students in your level and programme, with free snacks and drinks provided (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options).

We take the health and safety of our staff and students seriously. Please help to keep everyone safe and do not attend induction events if you have tested positive for COVID, if you have symptoms of COVID, or if you are unwell for any reason. Slides of each induction will be available online for anyone who is not able to attend.

Friday 30th September You are invited to join the new September start students on your scheme at a Lunch Social on Friday. For timings, please refer to the Induction Timetable for your scheme. You are also welcome to join any of the listed optional talks for your scheme. However, you do not need to attend the Induction talks marked as COMPULSORY on the timetables, as you have already completed these sessions in January.
