Coronavirus Recovery: advice and latest information

Being a PGR Student at the Faculty

As a new research student at the Swansea University Faculty of Science and Engineering, you will find all the relevant information that you need to know at the start of your candidature here.

Travel Policy

International Travel

All students are required to complete a Permission to Permission to Travel Overseas form prior to any International travel. In addition you will need to complete an

International Travel Risk Assessment. Once completed these forms need to be sent to fse-exec@swansea.ac.uk for approval from the Faculty.

Once the forms have been approved you will need to liaise with fseorders@swansea.ac.uk to organise your travel reservations.

National Travel

All students are required to complete a Risk Assessment prior to any National travel. Once completed this form needs to be sent to fse-exec@swansea.ac.uk for approval from the Faculty.

Once the form has been approved you will need to liaise with fseorders@swansea.ac.uk to organise your travel reservations

It is essential that these forms are completed prior to travel so that you are covered by the University Insurance Policy, therefore please do not leave it to the last minute to submit forms for approval to travel, ideally you should submit this information at least one month before travel if possible.

Study Spaces and Resources

Desks and study spaces are another thing to sort out when you first begin your studies. While studying at Swansea University, you will be allocated a desk. Tea points are available in an open-plan office and if your office doesn't have a tea point, you can request access to the adjacent hub which will have one.

Don't forget to have a look at the Software and Academic Support resources that are available to you.
