Semester or Year Abroad 2020/21
As a precautionary measure, the University has stopped all student and staff travel abroad for the time being for study and work purposes. We will continue to monitor the situation. Students planning to go abroad for a semester or year in 2020/21 should continue with their applications, however we would advise against making any financial commitments in relation to your placement at this time. Students are advised to keep all options open, including those where they may need to remain in the UK. This includes discussing potential Swansea University modules for 20/21 with your home department as a backup option. We will continue to work closely with colleges, partner universities and students during this time to keep you updated and informed. Please consult the Go Global team if you have any specific queries.
Go Global Summer programmes taking place in 2020 have been cancelled. Funding awarded for any programmes taking place in Summer 2020 has been cancelled and will not be automatically rolled over to next summer. You will need to reapply in the next academic year. We will support you through that process. If your programme is run by a third-party provider, please check with them if the programme is still running. They will be able to advise if any deposits you have paid are refundable. All third party providers have been informed that Go Global funding is no longer available for programmes this Summer.
