Marketing Toolkit-Students on beach wth surfboards

Welcome

If you are new, welcome! If you are returning, welcome back! We hope you’ve had a great summer and are looking forward to joining us in the Faculty of Science and Engineering.

This page includes all the information you need during your first days and weeks of Academic Year 21-22.

KEY DATES AND ACTION REQUIRED BEFORE YOU BEGIN YOUR STUDIES

15 October 2021 Deadline

  • From an academic perspective we will need students to be in a position to access Canvas (the university Virtual Learning Platform) and begin to engage with teaching activities (whether online or on campus) by 15 October 2021 at the latest (the end of the third week of teaching).
  • This means that students will need to complete any Right to Study checks before 15 October 2021. Please see the university enrolment webpage for guidance, and if you have any questions about the Right to Study process please contact MyUni Hub

For new international students

Are you an ambitious international student looking to get ahead? If so, join us for a free, online, two-day workshop to practice important skills and techniques for university study in the UK.

  • Wednesday 6 October, 1pm to 3pm
  • Wednesday 20 October, 1pm to 3pm

By the end of the workshop, you will have a better understanding of what will be expected of you while you are studying at Swansea University, while also adding to your academic language and study skills.

If you’re interested in this unique opportunity, please email Nicole Chartier at n.m.chartier@swansea.ac.uk

Admin Team Support

We’d like to explain how we’re going to be supporting you from the Admin Team moving forwards, as it may look a little different. While our role will remain to support you with the practical aspects of your course, we’ve had to adapt our services slightly as a result of the panedemic.

Meet with us!

If you would like to hold a meeting with a member of team to face to face, we would be grateful if you could book an appointment via email. Please outline what help you require and we will be back in touch with a 30-minute slot to meet with you.

Thanks for Your Patience

We would like to thank you in advance for your patience with us. We want to support you are much as possible during these unusual times, however while we’re operating with a slightly reduced team on campus, you may need to wait slightly longer to be seen should you visit our Student Information Offices.

This is another reason we’d like to encourage you to contact us online in the first instance – you will likely get the information you need quicker via this method.

Have we missed anything? Please do get in touch via cosadmin@swansea.ac.uk and a member of the team will get back to you as soon as possible.

We can’t wait to see you!
