Late Arrivals and Late Enrolment
The University term is now underway, but we recognise that some students are still continuing to arrive with us in Swansea.
Please be aware that if you are planning to arrive after teaching has begun on Monday 30th September, you will miss important lectures and practical classes that are essential to your course, and cannot be repeated.
For some modules, assignments may already have been set, and Extenuating Circumstances are not normally granted for late enrolment. This means that if you arrive late you risk losing marks, because assignment deadlines cannot be extended due to late enrolment. It is your responsibility to catch up on all work that you have missed; please use the lecturer’s office hours to ask any questions that you may have and make yourself known to each lecturer at the start/end of the first session you attend for each module.
Swansea University permits late enrolment up until October 14th 2019 as you have already been advised by our admissions and enrolment teams. There is no guarantee that the College will allow enrolment after this date.
If you cannot arrive before October 14th 2019, you may need to defer your studies until the next academic year. Please contact the Recruitment Team at engineering@swansea.ac.uk if you are in this situation and would like to defer your offer until September 2020 entry.
