Coronavirus Recovery: advice and latest information

Returning to Work

We're very glad that, following the closure of Bay Campus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we can now begin to return to labs and other spaces on campus.

Please see our Return to Work advice page for key updates and information, including documents, travel advice and answers to frequently asked questions. There is also a PGR Student Return to Work section on the College Intranet with lots of useful information and resources.

We realise that this is a stressful time for everyone and that it can be hard to stay positive and motivated given all that's going on.

Please have a look at the help and advice available from the University on our Engineering PGR Student Health and Wellbeing page.

A warm welcome from your Deputy Director of Postgraduate Research

Hi! I am Dr Melitta McNarry and I am your new Deputy Director of Postgraduate Research!

My research focuses on understanding the mechanisms underpinning functional capacity across the health, fitness and lifespan. Much of my work is concentrated on developing effective ways to promote physical activity and exercise that are targeted at the key causes of functional limitation in populations such as those with Cystic Fibrosis, Asthma or at risk of cardiometabolic disease.

I am really pleased to have this role as I am passionate about the next generation of researchers and all the potential and promise they hold! Please do get in touch if you have any questions or if there is anything I can do to help.
